Fees and Insurance

Making counseling more accessible also means making counseling more affordable.

I am committed to:

  • keeping my fees relatively reasonable considering my training and expertise
  • working with your health insurance company to maximize your mental health care benefits
  • accepting payments over time from responsible people with demonstrated financial need
I am currently an approved provider for:
  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • HMA
  • Regence
  • First Choice Health
  • KaiserPermanente PPO
  • Lifewise
  • Premera
  • Many other insurance plans pay for all or part of my services. Check with your insurance provider.
  • More and more insurance companies are paying for online counseling now when asked.
  • Sorry, but I am not able to bill Medicare.

Financial Policy

My financial policy is simple: We will do everything we can to help with billing and collection of your account, but regardless of insurance, you are ultimately responsible for the cost of my services.
  • If you have a copay with your insurance, it is due at time of service.
  • If you have an unmet deductible or co-insurance, you may wait until you receive a bill.
  • If you are paying yourself without 3rd party billing, payment is due at time of service.
  • You can pay in person, by phone or by mail and the amount will be credited to your account.
  • Full payment of your balance is due within 30 days unless prior arrangements were made.
  • I can accept cash, personal checks and debit/credit cards.
I have hired Kelton Billing Co. to assist with checking your insurance coverage, billing your insurance company, billing you directly for your portion of the balance, tracking payments on your account, and answering questions regarding your account..

Billing insurance for you means giving them permission to know your diagnosis and access your confidential treatment records. Accordingly, some people prefer to pay out of pocket. If you change your mind, I can help you bill them up to three months past the date of service.

If you are having thoughts of suicide and need help right away, call 911 or call the VOA Crisis Line at (800-584-3578).
